Here’s the completed baby jacket
Seems a shame, given its fashionable A shape, that I don’t fit into it meself. But I am sure it will be better suited to the ‘new arrival’ (infant parlance) when it arrives. Helen kindly asked about the buttons: they are made from fimo soft clay, cooked at 220 degrees for 30 mins, then varnished.

Hi Jennifer, the pattern’s in the Spring edition of Vogue Knitting. It is by Debbie Bliss, and like a lot of her designs was both satisfying & simple to knit. The pieces are worked separately to the armholes, then joined & yoked. The collar has some sneaky short rows worked into it. Bliss uses her ubiquitous cashmerino – I used Rowan 4 ply soft – which I thought knit up very well.

That is an adorable jacket. I’d love to knit one—what is the information on the pattern? Absolutely adorable. Great job. Jennifer
