Just time to show you one more sort-of hand made gift. This is a calendar I’ve had made up for a few family members who like my photos. I am quite pleased with it — the whole thing looks much nicer than those wee pictures give a sense of. Some of you may recognise that picture of Jesus, which appeared here back in February. And if you are wondering what on earth is going on in the first picture (which accompanies the month of May) – that is Tom, gleefully astride a hideous effigy of the Loch Ness Monster. We happened across it last Spring and I recall I was laughing so hard I could barely take the picture. Loch Ness really has to be the cheesiest place in the whole of Scotland . . .
Thanks for the info! In Germany they seemed to have them in book shops or stationers all over the place, and my friends there make them every year. It does require you to get the photos printed and then not get glue on the fronts when you’re sticking them in, so perhaps a print shop version would be less messy for me!

It’s just a digital print shop thing – but they turned out pretty well. I like the sound of the German blank calendars . . .

Where did you get the calendar blank from? I’ve found them in Germany where they are ever so popular, and brought some back (albeit with German day and month names and public holidays) but have never seen them in the UK. Or is it all done by a print shop from your digital files?

This is a great idea! I make one with the kid’s pictures for the grandparents. I am always tempted to make one using pictures of my hand knits. (I don’t actually make them, I send them out to be made — did you make these yourself?)
