funny face

Couldn’t resist posting this pic . . .

Bruce adds: “I don’t see why this is amusing. As I recall, I was simply waiting for you to get on with some pressing business involving an important stick.”

Lizzy A–Perfect. Bruce is indeed an Elvis impersonator – and a good one at that.

I note that a certain “Susan” comments that my friend Bruce has learned “delayed gratification”. HaH! Bruce and I know better, don’t we Bruce? The “ear flip”, the “head resting on crossed paws”, and “lizard eyes” are well-known ploys used by our clans to get Big Legs moving! Have to say, Bruce, I like your style. The slightly worried eye brows over unblinking brown eyes is a nice touch.

It must be refreshing to have your earflap turned open to the air, if you’re a floppy-eared dog. Go for both!

Aren’t they adorable when their ear is inside out? And I defy anyone not to turn it the right way out!

Our old dog Manson used to have one ear that would flop over like that and one of us would always have to say “Manson, you look ridiculous, fix your ear”. It was always funny. We miss him.

Gidday Bruce – sometimes you just have to hang with it! The Big Ones grandchildren have all gone home and I have my ears back to myself again but I’ll keep looking for some more Lego bits to chew… Love Woody …….

Bruce, you are a soulful and patient yet impatient dog. I know we would get along ever so famously if we met … I sometimes have that look in my eye when waiting for my human to throw me my favorite catnipped fish toy.

Cheers – George Bailey the wonder kitty :)

I love labs. Have a blonde named Dempsey named after Jack Dempsey and a black one named Hondo, from a John Wayne movie. They are the best! Dogs bring much comfort and entertainment to those of us who appreciate them.

OH, you made my day! My ‘mad dog’ is half way across the field in anticipation if she sees an important stick. Bruce has learned delayed gratification :) Such a good dog .

Well, Bruce, our Tucker has an identical expression to yours in the same situation! Even though he looks a bit different, being a “sorta setter”!

I know that look, I’ve seen it on my own black lab. Its so pensively waiting for what it seems to take forever for humans to get around to doing. They look so intent on the stick! Never mind how they look or that their ears are going different ways, and their mouth is askew. Just throw the stick! lol.

I’m always glad to see posts by Bruce, too. I enjoy your historical and knitting posts, but there is something about Bruce that just makes my heart leap. :) Dogs are something special.

I am amazed Bruce stood still long enough to get his picture taken with ear back and mouth aside. That must have been one good stick!

Hello Bruce, I hope the business with the stick went well. These humans never seem to get their priorities right do they? Never mind, they are really cute to have around. bisous xx Fleur

I love when their jowls get all pfloofed up like that! But my dog gets embarrassed when I take a pic that portrays him as anything less than noble.
