Good Morning!
We have released the Jazz Hands pattern!
Skein Queen has also been very busy preparing yarn bundles for these mittens. The yarn – Voluptuous Skinny – is a lovely plump, woolly 4 ply. It is spun up by John Arbon, and composed of 80% Exmoor Blue and 20% organic merino. The yarn is just ideal for a pair of colourwork mittens – the stranding creates a fabric that’s dense and warm, soft and springy. The pattern includes instructions for two sizes of mitten, small and large, and each Skein Queen yarn bundle will include more than enough yarn to knit the largest size.
I’ve also put together a time-limited promotion for those who want to make Jazz Hands to match their Epistropheids. If you purchase both patterns on Ravelry, using the code HEIDANDHANDS you will receive 40% off your total – that’s both patterns for £3.95. Please be sure to add both patterns to your Ravelry cart (using the ‘add to cart’ option) before entering the code or the system won’t apply the discount. Previous Epistropheid purchases should also count toward the promotion – if you encounter any problems please do let me know.
I’ve been enjoying the snowy weather and have been wearing my Jazz Hands pretty constantly since the cold snap started – my hands have been toasty warm!
Hi kate thanks for the code, I couldn’t resist 😄. I have a few of your patterns but need to get started on them! My wool arrived for the mitts this morning it is fabulous! Thanks for the link. Loving reading your newsletters, I even ended up subscribing to the .shetland magazine after reading about it in your newsletter. I will have to tag on a visit to Shetland now when I visit Orkney for my Family History research!
thanks again for inspiring us all!

Thank you Kate for the discount. Had no problem using on Jazz Hands. Finished my Epistroheid and I am putting it to good use while walking with my dog on these snowy days.

Hi Kate, I am working my way through my heid and am loving the idea of having some jazz hands to match, but I can’t get the code to work. Can you assist please? They look really neat.
Thank you

Oh this is all classic Mercury in Retrograde stuff! the code didn’t work for me and somehow I ended up buying the hat only. Not to worry, happy to pay full price for such great patterns… not even sure how to add things to my basket on Ravelry, it always just takes me to ‘buy now’

Lovely and the code worked :) tricksey computers aren’t they? Thank you.

Hi, the code worked but I only got the mitts pattern. No discount or hat pattern!!

Hi Elaine – you need to put the hat and the mitts pattern in the cart at the same time for the code to work? Can you please email me at info@katedaviesdesigns.com with details of your transaction and I’ll sort things out for you.

Hi Kate, I read through all of the comments so I knew to put in the words without the ampersand for the code but it still only sent the mitts pattern to my ravelry library and to have available for download. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. You are being so kind and technology is not helping at all! Thanks for the patterns.

Hi – apologies – there was a glitch in the cart with the & – please now try again using the code HEIDANDHANDS – that should work fine?

Hi Kate, I previously purchased the Heid pattern but code did not work when I purchased the mitt pattern. No worries, just thought you may need to “tweak” something on the site. (I’m not very tech minded as you can tell).

can you try again using the HEIDANDHANDS (there was something amiss with the & I think . . . )

Hi Kate, I’ve been following your blog for a while and always enjoy your posts. Your combination of colour is always lovely and has inspired me to try some real stranded colour work this year.
I love your Jazz hands mitten and matching hat designs, but can’t seem to get the code to work for the discount. I’ve put both in my basket in Ravelry, but it says the discount code is not valid. Can you help please?
Many thanks
Lyndsey

Thanks Kate, that worked. I’m so tempted to drop everything I’m currently knitting and start these right away, the patterns are so beautiful. I also wanted to take this opportunity to tell you that I enjoy your blog and your patterns (the yoke book is a delight) very much.

Lovely, been waiting for these. I am happy to pay the full price but as an earlier Epistropheid purchaser, the Ravelry code is not valid for my purchase of Jazz Hands
