Where’s Bruce? Did something happen to him, and I missed reading about it?!?

Bruce is fine – but he is not up to long walking holidays – so he has his own holidays with my parents when we go away

My paternal grandfather was a year round swimmer. When I was old enough to learn some geography I understood why. His ancestors came from Caithness where summer temperatures were about the same as winter temperatures here in Downunder.

Looks wonderful. I was wondering if you were still open water swimming. I remember your posts from (was it?) last year or the year before. You inspired me and I am now back ocean swimming one or two days a week. This is all because I can stay with my best friend from High School. She lives 10 minutes from a beautiful beach. And the water is warm; 70sF.

I admire your stamina. I have a pool across my yard and 90 F degree days and haven’t been in it yet.

Looks fabulous, there is nothing like swimming in the sea, so wish I was there.

Absolutely gorgeous. Very brave in those cold Scottish waters but good for the soul

Thanks to your lovely posts over the years and championing of Scotland I have booked a trip for the spring to spend a week hiking in the Highlands — and am researching which other places to visit on the way to and from while referencing your past posts and knitting book essays :) The week includes a morning of invigorating swimming as well! I can’t wait!
